Latest Updates from Our Project:
Print Button Pushed!

– Sat, Jun 11, 2022 at 01:21:18 AM
Everything is officially ordered!
A few days later than I wanted...but I added four new illustrations to Familiar Faces Vol.1 for it. Other additions to share. Familiar Faces Vol.1 is now 52 pages (4 pages added) and the FFV1 Notebooks are now 24 pages (4 pages added). I'm stoked to share some of the new art for FFV1 that hasn't been shared.
First the inside cover of Familiar Faces Vol.1. It doubles as a map for the Julip IV system and the table of contents. (Traditional table of contents also included on page 3.)
Now a few spreads from FFV1 Notebook:
Lastly, the Gilgamesh Red Schematics and sneak peak.
I think I've shared almost all of Knights of Lazarus at this point, but here's a spread of the Black Knight's Effigy if you haven't seen it :). I love this artifact - especially when thinking about how it will affect players as they discover the negatives that come with the positives.
Update
We are officially behind on delivery - Printivity says they will deliver to me on July 5th. That's the middle of the week and I think it will take 2 days to go through everything and send bulk packages to our distributors abroad. Then, I'll immediately go into packing domestic orders.
Thank you again for your trust and support! I can't wait to get these beauties in your hands!
Have a beautiful day,
Marco
Survey Reminder
– Mon, Jun 06, 2022 at 06:21:05 AM
Hi, everyone!
We're missing about 100 surveys, so I wanted to send a quick reminder update about the surveys since we will be making the order here soon.
Check out Update #10 for most of the information on surveys.
Let me know if I can help with anything! Thank you again for the support!
Quick update
Both Knights of Lazarus and Familiar Faces Vol.1 are in final proofreading with Greenspore. He was kind of enough to do the final reading in the (near)final PDF so I can't make any copy and paste mistakes.
A few illustrations need to be finished over the weekend, the layouts need to be finished on the Familiar Faces Notebook, and layouts need tweaked on the art prints.
That said, we're right around the corner!
Much love!
Test Print Received! + Survey Reminders.

I have been stressing about great print quality since I started searching for a printer. A lot has changed in availability and consistency in the printer world in the last 8 months, and it has been a constant discussion point and knowledge-share in self-publishing groups. I took a shot with our printer because they are well known for great prints/posters, I grew to respect the company a ton, and their customer service is extremely helpful. I’m ecstatic to say, Printivity killed it! The colors are vibrant, the details are clear, and it feels great! (The pictures don't do it justice.) The book feels premium and these art prints have an even better sheen with the semi-gloss finish!
I’m stoked to send out this quality of book. Here are some sneak peeks:
Project Update:
Knights of Lazarus: Final edit, design, and layout tweaks will be done tomorrow.
Familiar Faces: Final edit, design, and layout tweaks will be done by Friday.
Final Proofreading will be completed once the PDFs are stitched together. Greenspore has been fantastic at fitting this in, and I don’t foresee delays.
Realistic Timeline for Final Order: Wednesday, June 8th.
Printer Turnaround: 3 weeks. During which I will finalize all the digital goodies - including Spicy Tuna Brainstorm!
Physical and Digital Fulfillment Begins: End of June
By the hair of our chinny-chin-chins! Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. We will keep everyone updated here with any changes.
Survey Reminders.
We’ve received about 60% of the surveys so far. Please look through your emails to make sure you received yours. Most likely, it is sent to the email address you use Kickstarter for.
Important Backerkit Survey Info
– Thu, May 26, 2022 at 02:11:03 AM
Backerkit Surveys are in the process of being approved! Emails with survey links will be coming in the next 2 days.
Surveys are necessary for completing your order and do the following:
Collect addresses and other information to fulfill rewards
Options to upgrade pledge tiers.
The Add-on store will allow you to add on new KoL and FFV1 products.
How to Use Backerkit Surveys
Click the survey link and fill out the survey. (You do not need a Backerkit account. You may change your responses before June 7th.)
Cards will be charged after the surveys are locked on June 7th.
If you are moving or need the rewards sent to a new location you will be able to do so until the address lock date sometime in mid-late June.
Shipping fees will not be collected for your add-ons purchased in the survey. (Shipping will all be calculated at the end as the Kickstarter states.)
Upgrading Pledge Tiers
If you decide to upgrade your pledge tier when you first click the survey link click "Switch your Pledge Level" below the "Get Started!" button.
If you decide you want to upgrade pledge levels after you've started the survey select your reward at the top of the screen labeled with "Your Pledge Level". Then click "Switch Pledge Levels?" in the top right of the pop-up.
Note: You will have to refill the survey from the beginning if you switch during this stage.
Please Read Shipping Information
We will NOT be collecting shipping fees via the survey. Shipping fees will be treated like the rest of the Kickstarter shipping fees and collected before fulfillment. Here’s how it will work:
You may receive two separate charges from Backerkit. This will happen if you purchase add-ons. The first charge will happen on or around June 7th. The second, will be charged right before fulfillment begins.
If you don’t purchase add-ons, you will still be charged once through Backerkit and will need to provide them your card information for shipping. The card will be charged right before fulfillment begins in late June.
Credit card information will still be required in the Backerkit survey. This is the card information that will be charged for shipping at the end of June.
Final shipping rates will be shared with you before cards are charged. Shipping estimates are on the main Kickstarter page, but are estimates and may change.
If you have any issues, the best thing to do is e-mail Backerkit first, and then [email protected].
Thank you for taking the ride with us! We are here if you have any questions.
May Progress Report + Final Community 1d10

Print delivery still on schedule, but we are moving the PDF delivery to end of June so they both print and PDF will be delivered at the same time.
I should have paired the delivery timelines together from the start because of the time input I want to put into the digital assets - including Spicy Tuna Brainstorm. Because of prioritizing family, it looks like this time put into the digital assets is best placed while waiting on the printers to deliver the books which makes the most sense to send the whole PDF packages around the same time as the physical rewards.
I’m sorry for delaying the delivery again. I will be more conservative on timelines upfront in the future to avoid changed deadlines.
We are we at?
Baby Gus is very healthy now!! But, he did receive the blood transfusion (which went perfectly) and life did not slow down until about a week ago when I finally was able to go close to full time on the book. Coupled with my family prioritization, we lost in-house editing with my brother because of work demands. That said, we are a bit further behind on writing and editing than anticipated - but the print fulfillment dates are still on schedule!!
New Editor!
Greenspore (Miniships, Second Rate Salvage, Orbital Debris) is on the team! You can see his work here https://greenspore.itch.io/.
Greenspore is one of three editors on “Orbital Debris” where he has edited my writing and was one of a few people who received the entire WIP of both Familiar Faces Vol.1 and Knights of Lazarus before the KS campaign. He was kind enough to do an entire read-through then with editing notes at that time.
We had a great meeting last week and he has set an editing deadline for the end of May. So far we are working very efficiently together and he has been gracious enough to work in chunks as delivered so we can have print-ready material more quickly. All that to say, I’m ecstatic and beyond confident to have Greenspore on the project.
And that’s all the updates! I appreciate all of the support and I’m excited to be so close to delivery! Now, the final Community 1d10 Table
